Spray for ticks? Please weigh in.

We recently had a homeowner share their dog came back from the common area in their backyard with a tick.  The homeowner requested we consider spraying common areas for ticks.  Ticks have been increasing in numbers over the years and the more there are, the more they reproduce.  Brief research indicates they lay their eggs in the spring.  

The Board requested our Property Management get us a quote and some information.  We received the quote and the chemical they would use is "Crosscheck", manufactured by Lesco.  This is the link to the product page:  Lesco Crosscheck EZ Granular Insecticide - Lesco, Inc. - | Greenbook  

We have yet to make a decision and wondered if any homeowners have any wishes/ concerns/ thoughts on this?  We would appreciate feedback.  I think you can post comments to announcements here or you can email the Board at bod@hickorypointesub.com .  Thank you in advance, your feedback is important to us.

Bylaws Updates

The Board received a good number of responses, requests and feedback regarding the proposed bylaws.  The Board is reviewing these requests, then will submit a list of updates/ changes to the proposed bylaws for editing and review.  We will inform Homeowners once the new bylaws are ready.

There was no formal meeting in February 2021.
Minutes from the March 4 2021 meeting were approved at the April 22, 2021 meeting.
Minutes from the April 22, 2021 meeting will be reviewed at the May 6, 2021 meeting and if/ when approved will be subsequently uploaded.

Clarification of Second Letter Regarding Association Dues

Recently all homeowners received a second mailing regarding the Association Dues.  The first dues notice was sent out by Select Management in January.  Per some homeowners, that notice was confusing and lacked necessary information.  In response to homeowner's complaints, we requested Select Management to help clarify several points.  The second letter, recently sent out, clarified all the questions we received and was meant to help clarify payment options as well as the option for payment plans.  Additionally, in this second notice, we are also requesting contact information to help us communicate if / when the new Bylaws are passed which may allow us to communicate electronically.  Thank you for your patience.

The Board meeting for April 1 has been rescheduled to April 22, 2021 - 6:30 pm via Zoom.

January 2021 Minutes from the Board Meetings are Posted

The Board did not have a formal meeting in February 2021.  The minutes from the March 2021 meeting will be posted after they are approved.  

The next meeting is scheduled for April 1, 2021 (Thursday) from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. If you'd like to participate please email the Board at bod@hickorypointesub.com for the link.  The meeting is only open to Homeowners.

The financials have been added to the website under the HOA Meeting Mins/ Site Plans/ Bylaws tab.
The year-end 2020 financials are located in the 2020 folder and the 2021 budget is in the 2021 folder.
