POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The pool rules and regulations of The Village of Hickory Pointe are established for the protection and benefit of the residents and to assure the safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities. Any failure to comply with these rules is cause for suspension of pool privileges.
Homeowners will be admitted with their pool pass. Please do not let a neighbor use your pass, if a neighbor does not have a pass it is because they have not paid their dues. The passes are numbered and recorded to your address. If you lose your pass there will be a $10.00 charge for a new pass.
POOL HOURS
9:00pm to 8:00pm through Labor Day weekend.
If lightning or thunder is present everyone must clear the pool area immediately, and wait a minimum of 30 minutes after the last lightning strike to re-enter the pool area.
ADMISSION TO POOL and POOL LOUNGE AREA
All persons entering the pool area must display their pool pass. Admittance will not be allowed without it. A resident must accompany guests.
No owner may bring more than 4 guests.
Children 13 and under must be accompanied by adult over the age of 18.
Anyone under the age of 21 is not permitted to supervise more than 2 children (13 and under).
If a parent or supervising adult needs to leave the pool area for any reason, the children that are being supervised must leave also.
Pets are NOT permitted inside the gated pool area.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Some of the regulations governing conditions of cleanliness, the consumption of food and beverages, etc., are imposed by the State of Michigan, Department of Health and not by The Village of Hickory Pointe. The regulations must be strictly observed.
Food, drinks, chewing gum, and smoking are NOT allowed in the pool area. You may bring water as long as it is in a plastic container. Glass in any form is not allowed in the pool area.
All persons must wear swimming attire. Street clothes of any kind are not permissible.
Persons with skin diseases, sore or inflamed eyes, nasal or ear discharges, cuts or any communicable diseases are not permitted into the pool.
Children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.
Use of the foot faucet is required before entering the pool.
The pool phone is intended for emergency calls only and conducting pool business.
Residents will drive slowly and carefully in the parking area and around the pool.
THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD. Swimmers swim at their own risk
CONDUCT
no running, jumping, pushing, wrestling, or causing undue disturbance in or about the pool area.
No loud music, screaming, swearing or abusive language.
No playing in the showers. The showers are for rinsing only.
Toys and/or rafts are allowed as long as they do not interfere with other swimmers.
No ball playing in the pool, on the pool deck, or around the pool area.
NO DIVING, somersaults, back dives, cannon balls, or similar entries are allowed.
Deck chairs must stay on the pool deck, no standing on chairs.
Residents and their guests are responsible for cleaning up their litter.
No bikes, skateboards, and roller skates/blades are permitted in the pool area.
Parents/supervisors are responsible for their children’s behavior.
MANAGER/STAFF AUTHORITY
Association dues must be paid in full to use pool facilities.
Staff reserves the right to verify identity (show photo ID with address verification).
Management is not responsible for personal articles lost or stolen; we suggest all vehicles and bicycles should be locked. Do not leave items in the rest rooms.
Residents will be held responsible for damages caused by their family or guests.
All residents and guests that use the pool/pool facilities are at their own risk and by use of the facilities the user agrees to hold harmless the Management in regard to liabilities of any kind related to the use of the facilities.
Management is not responsible for any accident, injury, or damage to a person or his/her property.
Payment of your annual dues acknowledges acceptance of the Rules and Regulations
Staff may deny access to pool/pool area at any time due to occupancy limits, weather, pool conditions or if maintenance is required.
Any person, any age, that is constantly disobeying the rules will be asked to leave for the day. If problems arise on a regular basis with any individual, he/she may be suspended from the pool for the rest of the summer.
